The first year of your child’s life is magical, challenging and exhausting. I know how quickly you forget the small details: the curled-up toes, wisps of hair, first smiles and so much more. Let me document a moment in your journey and I promise to deliver an honest, beautiful story of your family.
Baby Photography at Home
There is something so special about visiting a family at home. My home sessions are relaxed, and we allow your baby to take the lead. I don’t need a show home or even a tidy home to capture the beauty of you and your baby. A simple window with soft natural light, a freshly made bed or your favourite sofa are all perfect locations to capture your little one.
Baby Photography in Nature
Once your baby is around 9 months, you may prefer to capture your family in a beautiful, natural setting. If you are feeling adventurous, I would recommend booking a sunrise or sunset session and I can photograph your family in beautiful golden light.
When is the best time to book a newborn session?
The first few weeks is a lovely time to book in a relaxed photography session at home to capture those early sleepy, dreamy shots, snuggled up with mum and dad. Equally, as they begin to uncurl and interact with their surroundings, I am happy to capture your baby anytime within their first year.
How long will a newborn shoot take?
Sessions usually last about 2 hours and this gives us time to work around you and your baby’s needs, allowing for feeds, changes and quiet time.
What should we wear?
You must feel comfortable and confident in whatever you love to wear, whether that is jeans and a t-shirt or your favourite dress. As for your baby, I love to keep clothing simple and some of my favourite images are of your baby just wrapped up in a blanket. We can chat about this before the sessions and I am happy to advise.
Who can be in the photographs?
Baby, mum, partner and siblings are all welcome.
I DON’T LIKE POSING FOR PHOTOGRAPHS. HOW WILL YOU MAKE ME LOOK COMFORTABLE?
I won’t ask you to pose or even look at the camera! Photography sessions are all about you connecting with your loved ones.
